The Sheriffs Highway Veterinary Group has only one branch surgery at the
moment, in Whickham. We used to have a branch in Washington, but as from
October 2005 this has been run as "The Dragon Veterinary Centre" by Dr.
Andrew Henfrey - a departing partner - and his wife Mrs Julie Henfrey.

The Whickham branch is a fully equipped veterinary surgery in its own
right. We hold surgeries there Monday to Saturday, and the complete
surgical facilities are used daily, though generally for routine
operations. More complex operations are often sent to the Hospital where
the patient can benefit from the greater range of equipment and
round-the-clock nursing care.
